City Of Beaverton Concert

In 2024, I also had the opportunity to perform at the City of Beaverton’s State of the City event. It was a meaningful experience that felt both comfortable and rewarding. I performed with a group of close friends I had played with many times before, so instead of feeling nervous, I felt a sense of ease and familiarity. Our rehearsals went smoothly, and on stage, our connection and shared understanding made the performance flow naturally.

The event itself brought together community members and city officials to celebrate the city’s achievements and share future goals. As we began to play, I could see people in the audience smiling and relaxing, and I realized how music can transform a formal gathering into something warm and human.

This performance wasn’t about competition or prestige — it was about connection. Sharing music in my own community reminded me why I started playing in the first place: to bring people together through something beautiful and universal.
