In November 2024, I was invited to be featured on “On Deck with Young Musicians”, a program on the International Children’s Arts Network (ICAN Radio).

The show highlights young musicians from across Oregon, giving them a chance to share their musical journeys, inspirations, and experiences both on and off the stage.

During the interview, I talked about how I first began playing music and how it has shaped who I am today.
I also shared the story behind co-founding Euphonos Ensemble, a student-led group dedicated to using music to support our community.
We discussed my experiences with the Portland Youth Philharmonic, Eugene Symphony Park Concert, and the Oregon Mozart Players Competition, as well as what I’ve learned through performing and collaborating with others.

ICAN Radio is a station that celebrates creativity and the arts for young audiences, and being part of this program reminded me that music isn’t only about performance — it’s about sharing stories and connecting with people.
It was a meaningful opportunity to reflect on my journey and to hopefully inspire other young musicians who are just beginning theirs.
