In May 2025, I participated in the Oregon Mozart Players Young Soloist Competition in Eugene, Oregon, and was honored to receive first place.
This competition gives young musicians in Oregon a chance to perform as soloists with the Oregon Mozart Players, and it was an incredible experience to be part of it.
As the winner, I had the opportunity to perform Sibelius’s Violin Concerto in D minor (1st movement) with the orchestra at the Da Capo concert in Beall Concert Hall. Standing on that stage, surrounded by professional musicians, I felt both nervous and deeply grateful. It was a moment where all my practice and passion finally came together.
The Oregon Mozart Players is a chamber orchestra based in Eugene that has been sharing classical music with the community since 1982.
Being able to perform with them was a huge honor and one of the most meaningful experiences in my musical journey.
Through this performance, I realized that music is not just about playing notes — it’s about connecting with people and expressing something real. That night reminded me why I love performing and why I want to keep growing as a musician.
