Nursing Homes

On May 25, 2025, I performed at two different nursing homes, including Mirabella Nursing Home, to share music with the elderly residents. Even though there weren’t many people in the audience — most of them were elderly and had difficulty moving around — the brightness in their eyes was unlike anything I had ever seen before.

As I played, some smiled quietly, some gently waved their hands to the rhythm, and others closed their eyes as if letting the music carry them somewhere peaceful.

After the performance, a few residents came up to me to share their thoughts — one said, “I haven’t felt this calm in a long time,” another simply said, “Thank you.” Those simple words meant more to me than any applause could.

That day, I realized once again that music isn’t just something to be listened to — it’s a language that brings life, warmth, and connection to those who need it most.

The experience reminded me why I love music, and it became one of the most meaningful performances I’ve ever been part of.
