In February 2025, I performed in a concert organized by the Jewish Community Orchestra (JCO) in Portland, Oregon.
JCO is an amateur orchestra that aims to bring meaningful and joyful musical experiences to the Jewish community and the broader Portland area.
Each year, the orchestra also hosts a Young Artists Concert program, offering young musicians the chance to perform alongside the orchestra and grow both artistically and personally through music.
I was deeply inspired by JCO’s mission — to educate, connect, and bring joy to people through music.
I loved how the orchestra used music not only as art but also as a way to support and uplift the community.
Because of that, I decided to submit my application to perform with them, and being selected to take part in this concert is something I’m truly proud of.
This experience meant more than just another performance.
It reminded me that music can carry real meaning and create a positive impact beyond the stage.
Playing with the orchestra, I felt how the music I love could bring happiness and comfort to others — and that realization made this performance one of the most memorable moments of my journey as a musician.
